The textured surface of Remo's Renaissance Ambassador heads is excellent for sticks, brushes and mallets. It also provides a wider and more balanced spectrum of sound for bass, tom-toms, and snares.  These medium-weight heads are made of single ply 10-mil Mylar, which helps produce a warm, open, resonant sound.
